My Personal Childhood Web

This is my mother. She has been the greatest influence in my life. My mom raised me along with my 5 siblings all by herself. We did not have much, she raised us on a housekeeper salary. Due to the time and love she gave us I thought we were rich. She always told me to not let anyone tear down my self esteem. That statement has carried me up until now

This is my oldest sister and her husband. She nurtured me by taking care of me when my mom was at work. She made sure I had my bath and homework was done for the next day. She and her husband were the first to expose me to an amusement park. They would take me and to Six Flags over Georgia. This was such an adventure because I had never been out of the small town of Augusta.

These are my sisters Jackie and Yonnie. Jackie was the first person to take me to the movies as a child. This was great because it was just US. She was also the first person to expose me to different types of music. My sister Yonnie always seen to it that I had the latest posters for my wall and whatever else went along with the musical artist that I was crazy about at the time.

This is my oldest sibling. He taught me how to respect and appreciate diversity. He and his wife of another race would come home and expose me as a child to those of a different race. This experience has greatly shaped my positive development.

This is my brother David. He is only two years older than I. He was my protector. The greatest memory  I have of  us as children is him taking me to my new 3rd grade classroom when we moved to a new school. He  even had his teacher let him come to my hall and check on me my first week.

This is my childhood friend Veronica. We are still friends to day. She was the person who allowed me a safe place to share my secrets and she still does!

  1. I enjoyed reading over your childhood web and the people who impacted you in various ways. You seem to have had a great support system as you were growing up. Im sure these individuals are still yet supporting you in other ways as an adult and support you just as much as they did while growing up as a child. Family means a lot and are the most important people in our lives so continue to cherish what you have.
