Professional Hopes and Goals

It is my hope that I can help families from diverse backgrounds feel appreciated and valued. I hope to make them feel as though what they have to contribute is valuable. I want to make them feel apart of their environment. I want to encourage them in all the unique qualities they have to offer.

My desire or goal is to see the field of early childhood be diverse, equal and just in the classroom, in the professional arena and the curriculum. It is my desire that the field be a diverse field in every area.

To all of my colleagues, thank you for all of your sharing and input of ideas and experiences. They have been most helpful and encouraging.

  1. I enjoy reading your hopes for working with families. It is so importnat for every family to feel valued in their beliefs and cultural background. Supporting a child and family to feel empowered is such a crucial piece to building a relationship. This can also help bring more attention to the needs of the early childhood field if more families are better supported in feeling valued and more able to speak up for themselves as well.

I thank you so much for stating that your desire is to make children and their families feel valued. To place value on someone and have them feel valued is a blessing. When it comes to education and trying to equip our children and their families, the beliefs and actions of educators is a bonus because those beliefs and actions will be remembered and hopefully carried on in the lives they touch. Thank you for your input and the sharing of your experiences. Thank you so much!!!

  4. I also have the same hopes for the early childhood field. Can you imagine the benefits of equity and justice for all families and students? This will lead to a better generation of children who will one day be our leaders.
